Walden Community School Video

Our Mission: Walden Community School  is a peaceful learning environment where students are challenged to think, to grow, and to make a difference. In our 21st century schoolhouse, K-12 students build a foundation of skills and knowledge for the future, developing core competencies that include the ability to communicate with clarity and grace and to think and reason critically.

Walden Community School (WCS) is a non-profit, non-sectarian, private independent school established in 2001. WCS is registered with the State of Florida and the Internal Revenue Service as an educational organization, not-for-profit. The school has been formed as a Florida Corporation exclusively for educational purposes within the meaning of Section 501c(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1996.

WCS functions under the umbrella of a Board of Trustees. The Board is comprised of experienced educational advisors. Board members receive no remuneration. When policy is set or reviewed, “What is best for the child?” is always our primary focus.

WCS is a designated PLT (Project Learning Tree) school.
